??In October 1994, a visionary group of business leaders recognized the opportunities that could arise from a closer relationship between France and the Carolinas, and they established the French American Chamber of Commerce of the Carolinas (FACCC) with a mission to facilitate business exchange, promote economic development, and build a community where cultural and commercial interests could thrive in harmony. Today, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our organization, we reflect on our journey and we look forward to a future filled with growth and successes. We launched our first celebration event a week ago when Ambassador of France Laurent Bili and Consul of France Anne-Laure Desjonquères joined us for a dinner at the residence of NC Governor Roy Cooper. During this celebration, our President Cédric DECARPENTRIE had the honor to recongnize two of the visionaries that built the FACCC by appointing them as Emeritus Board Members: Douglas Mitchell joined the organization 30 years ago and was the first President of the Board of Directors and remained involved since then. Laura Burton joined the FACCC 20 years ago to serve as President and has remained a Board member since then! Their dedication and contributions have helped to shape the success we enjoy today. We are forever grateful for all they have done and continue to do for us. As we look to the future, we introduced our new Executive Director Auredia Beauvillain. Her leadership, strategic vision and deep understanding of both the ???? and ???? business landscape, makes her a perfect fit to continue to adapt, innovate and lead our organization. Finally, we had the honor to have Mikael Courbot, CTO at Micropep Technologies, who shared with us his recent move in the triangle: “This event gives me an opportunity to connect with the highest representatives and business leaders, but also to aknowledge the warm welcome received from various organizations including the FACCC and RTRP. Micropep is a French startup in agricultural technology, developing small natural biomolecules that offer efficacious, innovative and sustainable solutions to enhance crop productivity and resilience.
