?? China Tariff Update ?? As of February 4, The US imposed a 10% tariff on all materials shipping from China after February 1, 2025. To be exempt, materials must arrive by March 7, 2025. ?? Tariff Update – 2/3/2025 ?? Freemen Nutra is committed to keeping you informed and would like to provide the following update on upcoming tariffs. As of 12:01 AM Tuesday, February 4th the following tariffs will go into effect by the US. ??Canada: 25% on non-energy imports, and 10% on energy imports ??China: 10% on all imports These tariffs are in addition to existing duties and will apply to goods that currently qualify for duty-free status under the United States-Mexico-Canada agreement (USMCA). The executive orders include a retaliation clause, authorizing additional tariffs if these countries implement countermeasures. PAUSED: Mexico 25% on all imports - One Month President Trump and President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that they have agreed to a 1 month pause on 25% tariffs after President Claudia Sheinbaum agreed to send 10,000 troops to the border to help stem the flow of fentanyl and illegal migration.?

??Potential East Coast US Port Strike Update ?? The East Coast port strike has once again been averted! The union representing 45,000 dock workers and their employers reached a tentative six-year contract agreement, ensuring the strike will not take place next week. Key points: ?? The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) called the deal a "win-win." ?? The agreement resolves automation concerns, which had been the most contentious issue. ?? Details of the deal remain confidential until reviewed and approved by all members. ?? Operations will continue under the current contract until the new one is ratified. While this is a relief for supply chains and shippers, it’s worth noting that costs may increase due to ILA wage adjustments.
