Protecting Children Starts with Equipping Communities! Two weeks ago, survivor-leader, Child Protection Coordinator, and Freely in Hope Alumni Elena, led our first Child Protection workshop in Zambia for the year 2025, in partnership with Pentecostal Assembly of God Church in Lusaka West. This workshop brought together 60 faith leaders to Champion safety and dignity for every child. Elena finds joy in strengthening communities with the knowledge and tools to prevent harm and create space where children can thrive through Freely in Hope’s Child Protection trainings. Workshop Highlights: Strengthening Child Protection in Faith Communities! We just concluded our first Child Protection Workshop of 2025 in Zambia! 60 faith leaders from the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church in Lusaka West were equipped with essential knowledge and tools to create safer spaces for children in their congregations and communities. Through Freely in Hope’s Child Protection Program, we empower faith leaders to prevent harm, respond to abuse, and advocate for the dignity and safety for every child. Last year, Freely in Hope took a significant step forward in Zambia with its first-ever Child Protection training.
