Our first issue of 2024 is here!? As Freehub enters its 15th year of independent publishing, we’re proud to present the Arkansas Photo Book—a visual field guide to the Natural State’s most exemplary singletrack.? Embark on a journey through the rocky terrain of Mount Nebo, the flowing trail networks of Bentonville and Fayetteville, and the lush wilderness of Arkansas’ backcountry with each turn of the page. The state’s riding scene has exploded in recent years, welcoming riders with open arms and a huge dose of Southern hospitality. But mountain biking in Arkansas existed long before this modern boom. Setting the foundation for the expansion is a storied past comprised of passionate individuals who worked tirelessly to shape not only the trails but also the culture of Arkansas mountain biking. All 116 pages offer a glimpse into Arkansas’ evolution into a premier destination for mountain biking. From the undulating terrain of the Ozark and Ouachita ranges to the labyrinths of singletrack in the northwest, we unearth Arkansas’ fat-tire past while paying homage to its finest riding.
