This acquisition marks the first of many in the growing La Crosse market. La Crosse, situated on the Mississippi River, is known for its picturesque bluff and river views. It is home to three colleges with approximately 15,000 students (University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Viterbo University, and Western Technical College - Company) and major employers such as Gundersen Health System, Mayo Clinic, and Kwik Trip, Inc. (800+ locations, 35,000 employees). This investment represents a milestone in acquiring a performing institutional-grade asset in a non-institutional market while highlighting strong demographics, key employment centers, and abundant natural resources. Yesterday, we held a “wall-breaking” ceremony at the Aladdin Hotel in Downtown Kansas City, kicking off the next chapter for this historic landmark. We’re honored to transform this 100-year-old building into 122 apartments, along with what will become the best cocktail bar in town! This project is more than just redevelopment. It’s about revitalizing a piece of Kansas City’s history and contributing to the city’s dynamic future. A major thank you to Kansas City for welcoming us and believing in this vision.
