Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona

Free Arts supports over 8000 participants per year, including those in the foster care system. Art heals. Art nurtures and nourishes in a way that nothing else can. How it works: 1. Make a donation to Free Arts for Abused Children. ($587 for single, head of household, or married, filing separately, $1,173 for married filing jointly). 2. Fill out Form 352. Free Arts’ QFCO code is 10015. 3. Be sure to include Form 352 when completing your taxes. It’s that simple! Your support means the world to the children we serve.

The Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona team had such a great time at the Earnhardt Auto Centers grand opening of the Genesis Chandler facility. We were the lucky and grateful recipient of a generous gift of $15,000, which will help transform the lives of Arizona's most vulnerable young people. Free Arts’ research-based program model, Art + Mentors = Resilience, helps children build the resilience they need to maintain personal well-being by connecting them with caring adults and creative activities that develop their personal skills and sense of self. Free Arts believes that healthy connections with adults create change. Through partnerships with local child welfare agencies and shelters serving families, Free Arts is able to provide this intervention to children free of cost to program participants. https://lnkd.in/gZ5fEhwN

January is National Mentoring month! Our longtime partner, Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona, matches adult volunteer mentors with groups of children living in social service agencies for weekly art sessions, lasting up to 16 weeks. These volunteer mentors use trauma-informed techniques to build relationships with their group, helping children build trusting relationships and express themselves creatively. We love this aspect of Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona's programming to help youth build resilience! #nationalmentoringmonth #artheals #wedealinhope
