A huge thank you to the Dimond Improvement Association for generously funding ?? ?????? ????????????-???????????? ???????? for Rising Harte Wellness Center (RHWC)—?? ?????????????????? ???????????? ???????????? ?????????????????? ???? ?????????????????? ??????????????, ????????????????-????????, ?????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ???? ?????????????????? ?????????????? ???????? ?? ?????? ????. This much-needed addition will be installed on the fence outside of Fred Finch’s main campus in Oakland’s Dimond District, ensuring that more community members see, recognize, and connect with the free and low-cost medical, dental, and audiology services we provide. For too many youths, stigma, systemic inequities, and a lack of awareness create barriers to care. By making #RHWC more visible and accessible, this new sign will help us reach more children and young people in need—especially those most impacted by health disparities. Our goal is to improve health outcomes, not just for individuals, but for the entire community. With judgment-free, culturally responsive care and a team trained in eliminating health inequities, RHWC ensures every participant receives the personalized support they deserve. As we close out Black History Month, we reflect on the powerful insights shared by our guest speaker, Dr. Julii Monetté Green, during our recent all-staff meeting. Dr. Green spoke on ???????????????????? ????? ?????????? ???????????? ??????????? ?????????????????? ???? ?????????????????? ??????????, emphasizing the urgent need for equity in behavioral health. A distinguished #clinician, educator, and racial trauma researcher, Dr. Green is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at CSPP/Alliant International University. As a scholar-activist, she has dedicated her career to mentoring diverse mental health professionals, advancing culturally responsive care, and addressing systemic disparities in behavioral health.
