We’re thrilled to announce that Contemporary Southern Vernacular: Creating Sustainable Houses for Hot, Humid Climates will be published this fall by Schiffer Publishing. This book is a comprehensive guide, drawing from our 36 years of experience designing sustainable, resilient, and healthy homes specifically for hot, humid climates. We are celebrating 36 years in business today. We kicked our daughter, Jessica, out of her crib in the summer on 1989 to use in the Beaufort Water Festival Bed Race. We won best design! ?#beaufort?#beaufortwaterfestival?#waterfestival?#36anniversary?#architect

The Fredericks seamlessly handled the design, prepared construction drawings, scheduled interviews with recommended contractors, and conducted weekly inspections during construction of our home. It’s important to have our eyes on all of the elements as they come together.
