We’re thrilled to be working on the Falls of Neuse Project, paving a 1-mile stretch to enhance the infrastructure of our community. This project includes adding travel lanes to boost safety, upgrading pedestrian facilities with a multi-use path, and incorporating a divided median for improved traffic flow. Committed to enhancing community safety and connectivity, we’re on track for completion by September next year. Thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success.

At Fred Smith Company, we successfully transformed the Sutton Lake access road adjacent to Duke Energy Sutton Steam Plant in Wilmington. We contracted with Duke Energy to fine grade and pave this existing gravel road to provide a safe and dust free access for local fishermen to access Sutton Lake. Furthermore the asphalt will limit the risk of damage to boats and vehicles travelling this road. Our team responded efficiently, completing the 28,000 SY for fine grading and paving in 7 days, turning it into a smooth, reliable surface. A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work and expertise in making this project a success.
