Happy International Women's Month! When it comes to celebrating women, at Hotel Emma we celebrate our namesake every day, of every month, and her example lives at the heart of our culture. Why Emma Koehler's story is at the heart of our culture: Emma’s story is at the heart of our culture because her story is one worth knowing and one worth admiring – the amazing and noble life she lead is the reason we work at a hotel named Emma. Emma Koehler’s passion and pioneering spirit at a time when women did not even have the legal right to vote is inspiring. We believe that of the many ways Emma earned the right to the beautiful tribute that is Hotel Emma, the examples we admire the most are: her courage, integrity and independence after Otto’s death; her resilience and innovation to keep the brewery open and successful during prohibition; and her sense of community as San Antonio’s largest and best employer. There is no other woman in history who did what Emma Koehler did, and her many examples of what it means to be what we call “Emma Strong” are why we are proud to work at Hotel Emma.

I am happy to share that I have officially joined Fraulein Boot Company as Brand Manager! I want to thank Margaret Walker and Sarah Caruth for all of their guidance. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful team and share my love for fashion and Texas!
