We hosted Erica from JPMorganChase in our Financial LifeSkills Program last week. She shared about banking and credit. Each cohort of our program hears from a guest from either a bank or credit union.

It has been FIVE YEARS since we launched Hilltopusa.org during the South Central Hilltop National Night Out celebration! After launching Franklinton.org, we worked to develop Hilltopusa.org as the sibling site to continue to connect Westside residents to resources and events. We’ve had more than 116K page views, 347 resources listed, and published 7 issues of our monthly newsletter. We’ve helped more than 800 people who directly reached out by phone or email to the sites. Last night, our Financial LifeSkills Program heard from an Economic Justice Attorney at Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio. Our guest shared about LASCO services, credit reports, identity theft, predatory lending, debt collection limits, and bankruptcy.

August marks SIX YEARS of Franklinton.org! We launched the resource website to inform, involve, and connect Franklinton residents. We’ve had more than 208k page views, 299 resources listed, and published 48 issues of our monthly newsletter. We’ve also assisted more than 800 people who directly reached out by phone or email to the sites.

We hosted employees from Fifth Third Bank in our Financial LifeSkills Program this week. Each 6-week cohort hears from a number of guests on a variety of topics: banking, job training, entrepreneurship, taxes, and bankruptcy. Participants in the program are encouraged to follow up with guest speakers to strengthen their financial future.
