If you are looking to support local, check out Franklinton Farms. I recently made a Cherry Balsamic Vinaigrette. The weekly fresh produce is incredible and has inspired many new creative meals in our household. The CSA is an incredible way to support a local farm and make a mess of your countertops. A little over a month into volunteering on the farm and it is incredible to see how an urban farm works with/for the community. Take your office, take your family, take yourself and get your hands in the dirt.

Franklinton Farms is one of 18 to receive funding from ServeOhio for Global Youth Service Day Volunteers helped prep our gardens, and constructed and installed four raised garden beds in our Avondale Community Garden. Every time volunteers help us prepare and plant the Earth, we are all working towards a harvest of change. As part of its Healthy Food Access funding priority, the Foundations launched the Healthy Food, Healthy Franklin County initiative in 2022, approving more than $887,000 to support Franklinton Farms, Mid-Ohio Food Collective, Partners Achieving Community Transformation and Produce Perks Midwest to catalyze change in Franklin County neighborhoods where residents lack access to healthy, affordable food and experience higher rates of chronic disease and other poor health outcomes.?In the first year of funding, the combined impact of the four organizations is making a difference in communities.
