Well the volunteers have arrived and each have received their worksite kits for the week. Included in the kit was their colorful tshirts for the week. All of the new volunteers are in bright yellow with one stripe on their arm. From there the stripes increase and the colors change based on how many building blitzes you’ve been on thus far. The coveted Purple T-shirt club is reserved for volunteers that have been on 10 or more building blitzes. However, regardless of the color of your shirt, all of these international volunteers are all very welcome in the Lwandle Township! A special shout out to Franklin Energy for sending their employee Kerri L. Tiernan, CSCP to South Africa with enough personal water bottles and wrap around safety glasses for every one of the 420 international volunteers. Making sure Kerri and her fellow volunteers stay hydrated in the South African sun and also safe from the blowing sand of the worksite! That large donation of supplies is taking health and safety to a new level for sure! Thank you so much! Your generosity means a great deal to our charity!
