We joined economic developers, employers, and stakeholders from across the region to discuss how childcare serves as a crucial workforce facilitator and economic driver. Today, Patrick & Henry Community College and Ferrum College entered into an articulation agreement that will allow students to graduate from P&HCC with their associate degree, smoothly transition to Ferrum in business management or social work majors, and obtain their bachelor's degree within two years. Additionally, eligible students will benefit from the Panther Promise program, which provides tuition benefits.

Today, the Governor of Virginia announced that Summit View Business Park will receive $5.5 million for site development improvements as part of the Virginia Business Ready Sites Program (VBRSP) through the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. This funding will be used to enhance the park's sewer capacity, making the site more attractive to prospective clients. “We are honored to receive the VBRSP Award, which will continue to increase the competitiveness of Summit View Business Park,” said Danielle Poe , Director of Economic Development for Franklin County, VA. “This funding is a testament to the strength and potential of the park.
