Half of women in the U.S. are skipping or delaying medical care. Deloitte’s recent analysis highlights that access challenges, such as long wait times and transportation issues, are significant barriers. And we're hearing this more and more from our patients and friends, especially as the flu season hits on top of everything else. At Frame, we recognize these hurdles. Balancing work, family, and personal commitments makes attending in-person appointments challenging especially when compounded with long wait times to even get those annual check-ins, etc. That’s where virtual care solutions like ours truly extend and ensure care, bringing it directly to patients. I may have been wrong about the rain at #JPM2025, but I was absolutely right about the tone of last week. After four JPMs, this one was my favorite, and here’s why: 1?? Women’s Health Was Everywhere Next to AI, women’s health felt like THE theme of the week—and I’m here for it. Three years ago, there was one women’s health event. This year? Over 20 including one of my favorites, an amazing Napa event hosted by Springboard Enterprises and Snatch Health. While progress is clear, there was a healthy recognition that we still have a long way to go. In particular, women’s health still receives just 2% of VC funding, and all-male teams are 4x more likely to be funded than those with even one female leader—even though 76% of women’s health companies are founded by women. It’s energizing to see the momentum, AND we must keep pushing forward. 2?? “Old” Connections Matter Two of my top moments: reconnecting with Trenor Williams, my boss from 20 years ago, and finally meeting Rachel Lee, who I met and mentored over five years ago. These moments reminded me of the power of relationships and the incredible people who’ve shaped my journey. 3?? Founders = My Fuel What started as an idea in mid-December turned into an incredible event with 100+ founders, investors, and partners. A huge shoutout to Priyanka Jain, Lyndsey Harper, MD, FACOG, IF, Meghan Doyle, Kara Egan, and Jodi Neuhauser for co-hosting this gathering. I somehow had zero coffee at the event but was buzzing with energy and inspiration. Talking with other founders continues to be a critical pillar of my founder journey, and I couldn’t have felt more grateful to have spent time with so many over the last week. More, please! ??
