Sounds like we've got some new and exciting things happening from GE Vernova and Tom Freeman at the Power Users Group #LTUG conference. Frame 5 Users Group, Frame 6B Users Group, and 7EA Users Group all in one place!
A couple weeks out from the Legacy Turbine Users Group (LTUG) in the Woodlands, TX. Frame 5, 6B, 7E owners/operators coming together. We are for sure going to exhibit a cool VR experience called Life Saving Rules. But, I had this idea which we are going to trial at the vendor fair... a configuration clinic. I know clinic means trauma center to many of you... but to a coach's kid, a clinic is a place to share ideas with fellow coaches. (I'll tell you a couple funny stories about my dad's time at Notre Dame football coaching clinics if you ask me in Texas.) So this is a confluence of definitions. With the industry realizing that the so-called energy transition requires existing units to run well past their original life expectancy, I suspect that many operators will have to rethink what they have and where they want to go. So we are going to do a Configuration Clinic that will help you see the future. We are not fully baked on this (might be making this up at Kirby Icehouse the day before) but I think it will turn out to be valuable for the next 3-5 years at conferences. So come by our booth and take a look at what we are doing. Your solution can certainly be nonGE (and honestly, we're friends with our competitors in our daily lives), but we think we have some really good things that you need to consider. So, we're doing this to give you a starting point. Don't skip the vendor fair. Come see us. (Not attending? Well, call/email me.)
