Our PV Soiling Data Report is built from real-world measurements using Fracsun’s ARES soiling measurement station, providing invaluable insights into soiling accumulation, cleaning effectiveness, and seasonal trends for your site. Key Highlights of the Report: ?? ????????????????-???????????????? ?????????????? ???????? – Our database continues to grow, allowing us to provide more precise soiling reports tailored to your exact region. This level of granular, site-specific soiling analysis is something many solar asset owners, O&M teams, and project developers are still learning about. And as our soiling loss database expands daily, this kind of reporting is becoming more accessible than ever. Curious about how soiling is affecting your solar assets? Hidden in Plain Sight: The Challenge of Soiling Loss If only figuring out soiling loss at your solar plant was as easy as blurring your eyes to reveal a hidden message. But in reality, soiling buildup is subtle, complex, and costly—hiding in plain sight until it's too late. At Fracsun, we make the invisible visible with industry-leading soiling stations and AI-powered analysis. Want to see how? Visit us next week at Intersolar North America—Booth #545—and let's talk about maximizing your plant’s performance. ?? Can you spot the hidden message in the image? Drop your guesses below! ?? #Solar #SoilingLoss #Intersolar #Fracsun

I love posting videos of Bryan Fisher installing things in time lapse. Here's Fish putting the *finishing* touches on an ARES Wash Extension install on quite a chilly morning. Looking ahead to February, it's essential to plan for measuring soiling loss as we transition into drier or pollen-heavy seasons in different regions. Stay informed with Fracsun for more insights! PV soiling sensors and software

Size Matters in Soiling Measurement! When it comes to accurately measuring soiling losses on solar panels, the measurement area makes all the difference. Fracsun’s ARES sensor features a full-size 156 × 156 mm polycrystalline cell, providing a 246 cm2 surface area for soiling collection. This ensures real-world accuracy, detecting the same soiling patterns that develop on solar glass—such as streak marks from nightly dew accumulation. Compare this to other soiling sensors: ?? DustIQ – just 28 cm2 ? MARS – only 33 cm2 With such small measurement areas, these sensors are less likely to capture the same soiling patterns that occur on the full-size solar modules. Inconsistent or underestimated soiling measurements can lead to inefficient cleaning schedules and lost energy production. Bigger isn’t just better—it’s more accurate. ?? #soiling #solarpv #renewables #solar

I just got off a call discussing how incident angle of sunlight dramatically impacts soiling loss in PV systems—an often overlooked yet critical factor in accurately assessing real soiling loss in a PV system. At Fracsun, we’ve designed our ARES sensor to solve this exact challenge. Unlike anything else on the market, ARES provides reliable, real-time soiling loss data throughout the day, accounting for the changing angle of sunlight. Here’s the kicker: optical sensors? They can’t touch this. They have no way of accurately measuring the effect of incident angle on soiling. It’s like trying to evaluate a painting in the dark—sure, you can guess, but you’ll never get the full picture. When precision matters, ARES stands alone as the industry's best. ?? Check out the difference for a fixed tilt system and a single axis tracker attached. Both behave differently during the day due to the fact that at solar noon, a fixed tilt system is receiving it's most normal incident angle of the day but a tracker closer to the vernal equinox is receiving irradiance at its shallowest angle of the day.
