Our award-winning booth at MAC Valves Inc. CarniValve last week demonstrated how IO-Link users can seamlessly integrate their pneumatics into a variety of machine control systems. We connected a Modbus IO-Link master from Leuze directly to our Universal Robots to fire the automatic door and pneumatic gripper (powered by PHD, Inc.) that was grasping the cup. This removed the need for an external PLC on the system and simplified the programming of the "cell". The flexibility & ease of use that IO-Link offers the end user is the key to deploying a simple & comprehensive solution.
