These days, we often talk about the use of data as being inherently beneficial, but it's important to acknowledge that's not always the case, and in fact, misapplying the power and scalability of data in the wrong ways can be detrimental and dangerous. I wanted to share some lessons to be learned from a recent Washington Post article about the mistakes of a major assisted living facilities company, which did a lot of harm to their staff, their customers, and their brand by leveraging a scheduling data model built on faulty assumptions. https://lnkd.in/eV6pNiNe Obviously, we believe there is massive power in data, otherwise we wouldn't have started Fourtop. But that whole power/responsibility cliche applies, and it's still the humans behind the data that lead to great outcomes. When it comes to leveraging #data, #automation, and #AI, don't check your #humanity at the door.
