Thermal batteries are a breakthrough American technology that increase the competitiveness of the U.S. industrial manufacturing base and bolster the country’s grid reliability while lowering energy costs. Thermal batteries charge with cheap, off-peak clean power and store that intermittent energy as heat. This heat can be delivered around-the-clock to drive industrial operations, or - in Fourth Power's case - converted on-demand into electricity to meet grid demand. We are thrilled to share the news that two exceptional leaders Fred Huang (former Rivian, Plenty and Tesla) and Patrick Schweiger (former Commonwealth Fusion Systems, TerraPower and Fluor) have recently joined the Executive Leadership Team at Fourth Power. Fred will build and oversee our project execution engine as EVP, Operations, and Pat will head engineering as EVP, Engineering.
