I had the privilege of attending Dr. Ray Perryman's speech at the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce's Annual Economic Outlook banquet. He touched on many national level topics, expectations, and current realities, as well as Texas and East Texas specific economic happenings. Here are some Highlights: 1. Texas is gaining around 1,550 new folks a day. ? 2. 40% of ALL US manufacturing jobs since the pandemic have been created in Texas. ? 3. 20% of ALL US new jobs created since the pandemic belong to Texans. ? 4. Texas is enjoying its 12th straight year of leading the US in inbound job relocations. ? 5. Texas has seen a 10.4% job growth rate since the pandemic, while Tyler has seen a 10.6% rise in jobs growth! ? 6.
