I want to thank CrowdFarming and the whole founders team (Gonzalo úrculo Gabriel úrculo álvarez-Ossorio David García Carbayo Moises Arturo Calvi?o Gra?a Juliette Simonin) for giving me the opportunity to work in such an innovative and passionate project. It's been a great ride, especially working alongside great engineers like Tie Blumer, Julien Maudet, Paco Martínez Rodríguez, Ignacio Ribera Díaz just to name a few. And special mention to Román Martínez de Aragón Grande, Aubéline Vo-Van-Chieu, Pachi Nagore Valiente & many more (if I start naming all the great people at CF it's gonna take a while ??). Thanks also to Hankui P., Javier F. & Palantir Technologies Madrid office, and the entire Palantir for Builders team for the continued support and guidance in this journey. Excited to keep working together and finding new ways to deliver business value through the platform. I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as a Senior Associate - Forward Deployed Engineer at Fourth Age! Thank you Zach Romanow for this new opportunity. DeepSeek is the hot topic in AI this week: it’s a new open-source LLM released seemingly out of nowhere, apparently meeting or exceeding the performance of other leading models at a fraction of the cost to train. Far from fundamentally altering the path of AI in 2025, however, it’s exactly what we should expect. Iterations on core LLM technologies will continue to drive down cost and produce incrementally better models, but this cycle alone will not deliver the promise of the GenAI revolution. In 2025, more companies will be looking at their AI spend and asking, what are we actually getting for it? They need to show a real ROI, and while more cost-effective models reduce “I,” they don’t necessarily change the “R.” To make LLMs useful, companies still need to focus on the fundamental work of ensuring relevant data is clean, unified, readily accessible and accurately modeled. They need a way to connect the right data and insights to the right people at the right time, with a focus on enabling users to make decisions or take actions in the real world. So far, the bottlenecks are still about having the right software and the right humans involved, rather than going from one model provider or one model generation to the next. And DeepSeek hasn’t changed that.

I'm excited to kick off 2025 with the crew at Fourth Age and thinking about the unique opportunity we have ahead of us. We're somehow already knocking on 20 incredible people around the world, and I sincerely (if humbly) believe that we have the best concentration of FDE skills outside of the Palantir Technologies mothership. That said, we need to keep growing to seize the moment, so I'm "shaking the tree" here hoping to hear from any of the excellent engineers in my extended network who might be interested in joining (someone ideally, but not necessarily, with existing Palantir experience).?We're all around the world supporting a diverse customer set with a variety of skills, strengths, and career paths, all united by the common goal of building the best Palantir/data/AI services firm in the world.
