The secret to great hash is using great material. “Fire in, fire out,” as the #hashishins say. ?? Traditional Hashish, with a modern twist! ?? Temple ball from The Fresh Connection Boston * Fourteen Counties FC Squared collab, featuring Jelly Biscotti Pancakes from ?? Tiki Madman (MI). Traditional hash is made from #drysieving plant material over sieves, while the bubble hash pictured here was processed in ice water and then sieved. Soaking the plant material in ice water makes the cannabis less brittle, which allows complete separation of the trichomes. These temple balls were made in the traditional Royal Nepalese temple ball fashion as taught by Frenchy Cannoli. ?? ?? Some things to look for when sourcing material: -material isn’t too old -material was harvested at peak maturity -material isn’t too “green” -handled with care (hand harvested and manicured) -material was fully dried -material was stored correctly -material was appropriately manicured for hash during harvest What else would you add to this list? Had an incredible time at last night's Hash Class at The Summit Lounge, hosted by Fourteen Counties and The Fresh Connection Boston! It was such an engaging educational session, filled with familiar faces and new connections, all while enjoying unique fruit pairings with the hash tasting. I even brought my Polaroid Go to capture some fun moments and share mini prints with attendees! ?? I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the MAC 31 Temple Ball Hash was, taken in the Glass Ball dome—such a clean, light experience. The Honey Dew Live Rosin, enjoyed through Ian's Carta V2, was a close second! Both were surprisingly gentle on my lungs, and I was amazed by how flavorful and light the taste of hash can be. Huge thanks to the team for sharing your knowledge and honoring legends like Frenchy Cannoli and Mila Jansen, along with the traditional methods behind the process. It was fascinating learning about the different techniques and how various parts of the plant enhance our experiences.
