?? The Power of Investment: Four County EMC Celebrates Another Milestone as Amazon Fulfillment Center Begins Construction at Pender Commerce Park ?? Wednesday, Amazon officially kicked off construction on its largest and most technologically advanced fulfillment center in North Carolina! ?? The 3.2 million-square-foot facility at Pender Commerce Park (101 Vitamin Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401) will bring over 1,000 jobs to the area, fueling economic growth and innovation in our region. Congratulations to Wilmington Business Development (WBD) CEO Scott Satterfield and his team for successfully making this project a reality. Their close collaboration with officials from Pender and New Hanover counties over the past five years played a pivotal role in Amazon’s decision to ultimately select the Pender Commerce Park—and the greater Wilmington area—for its next robotic fulfillment center. Four County EMC is proud to support economic growth and infrastructure development in Pender County. A decade ago, we provided a $2 million zero-interest loan to the county, which in turn helped Acme Smoked Fish become the park’s first anchor tenant. That investment set the stage for future success, and today, we celebrate another major milestone as Pender Commerce Park continues to expand and thrive! ?? Amazon Fulfillment Center Location: ?? Pender Commerce Park – 101 Vitamin Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401 This game-changing project is a testament to the power of investment and partnership, and we’re excited to see the long-term benefits it will bring to our communities and new job opportunities for our members.
