Each year, more than 16,000 families in the United States hear "your child has cancer." Hundreds of those families turn to Penn State Children's Hospital, a nationally recognized leader in pediatric cancer care, to provide world-class treatment for their children. Four Diamonds makes it possible for all of these children to receive the exceptional care they need regardless of the cost. Four Diamonds covers 100% of medical costs for its patients, ensuring families never see a bill. Scientists and researchers at Penn State Children’s Hospital are leading the fight to find better treatments and cures for all childhood cancers. The team at Four Diamonds Pediatric Cancer Research Center works with national consortiums who are working together to identify better, safer treatments to save the lives of children with cancer. The mission of Four Diamonds is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research.

Art therapy empowers Four Diamonds kids, allowing them to use art to help in their healing process. ?? Four Diamonds child Keaghan describes art as her outlet. It takes her mind off of what is going on around her, even if it's just for a moment. She loves making crafts and friendship bracelets for everyone she meets, spreading kindness and happiness wherever she goes! This week, we're celebrating our incredible art therapists at Penn State Health Children's Hospital, Alexis and Betsy! Happy one year anniversary, Baron! From his first day working at Penn State Health Children's Hospital, Baron has stolen the hearts of patients, families and staff alike. ?? Four Diamonds funds the child life specialist who handles Baron, allowing him to help make difficult moments during hospital visits more tolerable. One of his greatest gifts is helping with pain management. When Baron walks into a patient’s room, he distracts and comforts them. Due to Baron’s calming demeanor and presence, many patients don’t require extra pain medicine!
