Our Charlotte team is proud to have facilitated a lease bringing the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO?) headquarters to 31,392 SF at The Edison – a newly constructed, modern office building designed for collaboration and innovation. This move will allow NBEO to double its exam administration capacity at the National Center of Clinical Testing in Optometry (NCCTO?) while enhancing efficiency for candidates and the optometric profession. Big news (no pun intended)! Alongside Holt Lunsford, our team successfully closed the $43.5M sale of The Dallas Morning News’ printing press facility in Plano, TX. This wasn’t just a transaction—it was a generational milestone, helping fund pensions for 1,300 employees. Construction progress at Edgewood Yards! ?? Our first IOS D&I project in Jacksonville, FL—is taking shape. The site will feature a retention pond, new fencing, site lighting, a gravel parking lot, outdoor storage, and an 8,000 SF prefab metal building with built out office space.

Office demo to industrial conversions are more than a trend; they're a strategic solution. Last week, our Head of Investments, Jonathan Balthrop, joined a panel at the FSU-Kislak Market Strategies Forum to discuss innovative ways to repurpose office spaces. With our D&I team leading the charge, we've closed on or been awarded 8 of these projects in the past 18 months, transforming 1.6M SF of office into 2.5M SF of industrial space.
