I just can't help but share how much I LOVE working with these kiddos!!! A few days ago, was a perfect example of why. One of my little math whizzes did an entire exercise ALL BY HIMSELF!!!!! I was sitting next to him, paying attention while giving him space. I'd shown him how to use counters to help with his math, and every once in a while, he'd excitedly says: "Valerie, look!" He'd have more done and the right answers! I had to contain my excitement (just a little!), but we celebrated with a super cool fist bump and some encouraging words. And then, the cherry on top - he asked me if I could get him some counters for his house! Of course, I said, "You bet I will!" These small moments are exactly why I show up, day in and day out, no matter what. These kiddos need someone who truly cares and invests in their lives, celebrating every achievement - big or small. Step by step, we'll make it happen, together, side by side, day by day. As I reflect on our after-school program, I'm reminded that some of the most profound achievements can't be measured by surveys or tests. The growth, confidence, and self-worth I've witnessed in our children are truly remarkable. From learning to read and mastering math concepts to overcoming fears and developing self-regulation skills, our children are thriving. They're proudly sharing their accomplishments, seeking help when needed, and learning to express their emotions and needs. Our program provides a safe haven where bullying is absent, and support is abundant. One-on-one attention and guidance empower our children to grow into capable, compassionate leaders. I couldn't be prouder of these young achievers and the incredible progress they've made. They're our future leaders, and it's an honor to play a part in shaping their journey. Yesterday, 61 friends visited Lord's Gym Ministries in Price Hill, receiving God's word and love, a full belly, and any support we are able to offer. Many know they can seek access to treatment and mental health services while they are with us. I pray our friends know when they are with us that they are seen, valued and loved. - Valerie

You often see the phrase: "In a world where you can be anything, be kind." Let's do better: "In a world of where you can be anything, be like Jesus." He was always kind to those me met. He met them where they were, and His love and kindness left them transformed.

Another amazing night of Women With Fire last week. Last Friday, women from diverse churches and faith backgrounds gathered for a powerful evening of prayer and testimony. Each story shared shone brightly with God's transformative power, reminding us that: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 As we united under God's name, we fulfilled the purpose of Jesus's ministry: "That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." John 17:21 Together, we praised God's name, spread His hope and love, and celebrated our shared purpose: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Huge crowd at outreach - Felicia preached and a few came to Christ. We celebrated Jacoby's bday (His father Jack died of an OD a couple years ago). Tom cooked us a fantastic meal and our worship team from church was on fire. Then we brought several of our folks to church and got to baptize 5 of them - and Emily Moreno preached her first sermon there to a crowd of about 400. God is good! - James
