Meet the Sniders. Back in 2018, Jared and Lindsey sat down at a small table in a fast food restaurant, and a conversation sparked something bigger than they could imagine—a calling to create a vision that would grow into Wellstead. Having witnessed the tireless dedication of those in ministry, foster care, and single parenthood, they knew one thing for sure: these individuals needed a place to rest and recharge. A place to pause, take a deep breath, and refill their cup. That conversation was the seed that would soon blossom into a nonprofit organization offering 3-night self-guided retreats, providing a much-needed break for those who give so much to others. The best part? It’s absolutely free for those who need it. In 2023, Wellstead opened its doors to its first guests. Since then, it has served over 120 individuals and distributed more than 800 meals. Today, Wellstead continues to offer retreats for foster care families, pastors, missionaries, single parents, and individuals healing from loss.
