Wow! As proud Van Gogh Museum partnerships manager for ASML, I had the opportunity to present the Van Gogh Museum X ASML X Foundation for Hospital Art partnership during the ASML Global Leadership Meeting. And to attend the Van Gogh Paintfest with Van Gogh kits where so many ASML senior leaders attended. It was an honor to talk about our Partners in Science Partnership that aims to preserve Vincent van Gogh’s heritage, but also helps to paint a brighter world for people in hospitals and care institutions around the world. Back in 2021 Carl Leen and Leah Sicat, aware of the Partners in Science Partnership saw the logical extension where Van Gogh’s art needed to go: healthcare facilities around the world. To date: we have reached over 200 hospitals across 13 countries. ASML’s employees are at the heart of this outreach program. Our Communications and Member Services team recently gathered for a team-building service project to paint murals that will be hung on the walls of two medical facilities in Georgia. We are hopeful they will bring as much color and cheer to the facilities’ patients, families and employees as it did to our team. We appreciate the opportunity from the Foundation for Hospital Art, a charity organization based right here in Georgia! Throughout the years, they have worked with 1,000,000 volunteers and patients to create over 53,000 paintings for over 8,500 hospitals in 195 countries.

To honor Rare Disease Week and Rare Disease Day 2025, our team created butterfly artwork to brighten a hospital’s walls as part of a project with the?Foundation for Hospital Art. The butterfly symbolizes Dravet syndrome, a rare disease community we deeply support. With enthusiasm, we contributed, knowing that adding color and beauty to care environments can make a difference for patients and families. ? #RareDiseaseDay2025 #StokedAboutStoke

If I ever recommend a report worth reading it's VML's The Future 100. Here are 6 of the most relevant trends for you - and spoiler: most of them are about human psychology, one way or another. 1/ Artful stays From the report: Hotels around the world collaborate with artists to create 'personalized and emotionally resonant experiences', and that goes beyond decor. ?? Double down on using art at your events - it's proven to have a transformative effect on brains and behaviors. I had an opportunity to experience it several times; some examples: great work by Scott Feight and his team, or visual notes artists Kate Covey. If you have other examples, please share in the comments! 2/ Sensory storytelling. From the report: 73% (!!) of global consumers agree that brands should aim to engage ALL their senses. ?? Engage as many senses as possible! Be mindful about cross-sensory connections, too. Aligning visual elements, sounds, scents, and messaging ensures the brain merges them into a cohesive experience. If there’s a mismatch - say, the music suggests a calm setting while visuals are jarring - the brain expends extra effort trying to resolve the conflict, resulting in lower comfort and recall. 3/ Brand belonging From the report: Brands are increasingly entering the loneliness epidemic fight and “Brands that create a ‘caring connection’ will resonate better with consumers.” ?? Focus on facilitating every step of the connection journey for every attendee. Start as simple as possible - have them go through a networking checklist before the event; have “superconnectors” onsite, and use tech to contribute to the sense of belonging throughout the event life cycle. 4/ Instant health cocktails From the report: “71% of gen Z and 73% of millennials are interested in trying a sober curious lifestyle,” (but I think it’s safe to say this trend isn’t limited to these generations). ?? It's no news that alcohol-free beverages are getting popular, but have you heard about cocktails that improve focus and mental capacity? They are on the rise, too. In short, wellness is no longer an add-on - it’s part of a lifestyle and set of values. 5/ Joyful architecture. From the report: “Studies are beginning to show that being surrounded by boring buildings that lack visual complexity increases cortisol levels, causing higher levels of stress.” ?? This is a remarkable trend for eventprofs to note: when you’re choosing your next venue, are “sparking positive emotions” and “human-centered” among the key characteristics you’re looking for? Because if not, you might be unintentionally reducing engagement and increasing stress. 6/ Aspirational aging. From the report: there’s a shift toward placing senior demographics front and center - being older is becoming aspirational. ??This is very interesting for the context of events too. With the global population getting older, how does - or should - that impact how we design conferences or incentive travel? #EventPsychology

This week, we launched ‘Spread the Love: Volunteering Week’ at ASML Silicon Valley! ?? We planned five different volunteer events with our partners, giving employees the opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a meaningful way. We kicked off the week with a painting event with the Foundation for Hospital Art on Monday, followed by a wonderful afternoon with the kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley on Tuesday. On Wednesday we have a food sorting shift at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley and today, we’ll wrap up with a Bare Roots event with Our City Forest. Our e-waste collection event with The Trash Punx was rescheduled for the coming weeks due to the rain, but we’re looking forward to it! Thank you to everyone who participated and donated their time and care to this volunteer week! Together, we made this Valentine’s season sweeter for those around us. #lifeatasml

This awesome 501(c)(3) brings life to hospital walls worldwide with beautiful murals! Big thanks to Marsh McLennan Agency for giving colleagues a volunteer day each year to support causes we care about. Put my artistic hat on and dove into creating a koi pond mural and a Van Gogh-inspired lily. You know that feeling when you just lose yourself in something creative? Total zen mode! Can you imagine what it means to transform those bland hospital walls into something colorful and joyful? Even if it brings just one smile to someone going through a tough time - that's everything! ?? While I'm so grateful to share my time and creative vibes, there are SO many incredible organizations out there making a difference. Whether it's time, talent, or treasure - every bit of support counts! What causes light YOU up? Let's inspire each other! ?"

The PFIFC team visited the Foundation for Hospital Art in Woodstock, Georgia, to paint a mural that will be donated to a local hospital or care facility. The team enjoyed taking the time to use their creativity to give to a great cause. #pfifc #teambuilding
