As one of the 24 sites in this New Growth Innovation Network program, supported by the U.S. Economic Development Administration, we've found the training materials for Community Building Organizations valuable and perspective setting. Kudos to NGIN for making these resources publicly available to more community and economic development groups!

It's in perfect alignment with our capacity building goals and we're grateful to WellFed Community for introducing us! Foundation for Community Driven Innovation and AMRoC FabLab are honored to be part of the University of South Florida Introduction to Production Systems Certificate Program!

It was a joy celebrating the most recent graduates of the University of South Florida Introduction to Production Systems (IPS) Certificate Program, in which we're proud to partner with SMT, FloridaMakes,Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, FLATE , Bay Area Manufacturers Association (BAMA), and Scoutlier by Aecern . Sponsored by the Truist Foundation,adult learners in the program spend part of their training at AMRoC Fab Lab getting hands-on experience soldering, exploring robotics, 3D printing, and more, earning valuable micro-credentials as part of their overall IPS Certifications. The next cohort launches in September. Our last day of our Phase 2 Equity Impact Investment training was pretty fantastic, as well! We wrapped up our 2 days of programming with the HBCU Coalition.org and New Growth Innovation Network , in partnership with Hillsborough County Black Chamber of Commerce, Black Innovation Leaders of Florida , Black Unicorn Education, TRIBE Seminole Heights , Hillsborough County, Office of Community Impact, and TechUP Group Inc better versed in shared language and values, power sharing, collaborative history, project ideation, asset mapping, and strategic doing. Now it's time to put lessons learned to work over the next 12 months to create a collaborative resource project. We're excited about the journey and the destination!

Day 1 of the New Growth Innovation Network - Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Equity Impact Investments program onsite training, held at our AMRoC FabLab facility, was wonderful! FCDI, in partnership with the Hillsborough County Black Chamber of Commerce progressed to Phase 2 of the program earlier this summer. Facilitated by the HBCU Coalition.org , ours is one of just 2 Florida Economic Development and Community Development teams - and one of just 24 sites nationwide - to have been selected for this next programming stage. In this 2nd phase, we're joined by several other amazing local nonprofit organizations to learn how to build more effective collaborative partnerships that more equitably serve our Tampa Bay communities. We're grateful for the interest and engagement of Black Innovation Leaders of Florida , Hillsborough County Office of Community Impact, Children's Board of Hillsborough County , TRIBE Seminole Heights Black Unicorn Education , TechUP Group Inc and the St Petersburg Innovation District , as well as to the University Area CDC and Hillsborough County Entrepreneur Collaborative Center for their support. Monday's group session included opportunities to learn about all these great organizations, including tours of UACDC and Tribe Seminole to learn more about their work. On Tuesday we delve further into collaboration, asset mapping, and strategic doing.
