Foundation Communities

It's always a blast when residents from our nine supportive housing communities for single adults get together. We had a great turnout for the annual Skyline Terrace Block Party. On the menu was great barbecue courtesy of H-E-B, games, "door" prizes, health information and lots of great camaraderie. Another great block party in the books for our Health Initiatives and Supportive Housing teams.

The first Lamar Square Health Resource Fair was a HUGE success! More than 30 residents came to the community’s park to get biometric screenings from pharmacy students, ask questions of health vendors and learn about our Community Support Services (CSS). Residents also enjoyed music, snacks, raffle prizes and more. Many of the residents have health concerns, so we were pleased to offer this event and to get to know them better as Lamar Square has only been a part of Foundation Communities for about a year. Thank you Health Initiatives, CSS and Lamar Square staff for putting this event together.

Students had a great time at the Spring Break camp this week at our new Parker Lane Apartments Learning Center. We were pleased to provide this service for parents who didn't get the week off. As you can see from the pictures, the kiddos stayed busy doing art, enjoying story time and just having fun!
