Our big announcement is ... our name is evolving from Together We Rise to Foster Love. Our mission, vision and various programs will remain the same. The only thing changing about our organization is the name. We decided to update our name to Foster Love as a way to put our mission forward. With the name Foster Love it is clear that we support foster youth, and we hope this shift will inspire more people to get involved. Foster Love formerly Together We Rise is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Our vision is to improve the lives of foster children in America, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. We collaborate with community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning and team building activities to educate corporate and individual volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system. We work with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring our programs to foster youth across the nation. Our foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and suitcases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.

As part of our Customer Service Week celebration, our awesome CS team put together 20 duffle bags filled with essentials and goodies for teens who will be entering the foster care system. These will be donated through Foster Love!

Back again with another volunteer spotlight: Our White Plains office hosted a volunteer activity to benefit the Hiscox Foundation USA's National Partner, Foster Love.?Foster Love is a non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. They work to support and improve the lives of foster children in America. The team built "sweet cases" for foster kids, a bag of comforts and fun things the kids can take to their new homes.?Each sweet case contained a blanket, teddy bear, coloring book and crayons, and a hygiene kit. So where do the sweet cases go, once they are assembled and packed up? We'll be donating them to a local organization in New York that supports foster children. In addition to the sweet cases, we will be donating some skateboards for the kids.
