?? Every 10 minutes, a woman or girl loses her life at the hands of someone they should trust most—an intimate partner or family member. A new report by UN Women and UNODC reveals that #femicide—the most extreme form of violence against women and girls—remains pervasive worldwide. In 2023, 85,000 women and girls were intentionally killed, with 60% (51,100) murdered by intimate partners or family members. This dramatic reality demands urgent action.
