??? Taking the message to the streets—and straight to the United Nations! As #CSW69 continues, we’re making it clear: We need gender equality #ForAllFamilies. Families are diverse, yet too many policies and narratives still uphold a narrow, patriarchal model that excludes many. It’s time to reclaim "family" and ensure that all forms of love, care, and support are recognized and protected. With this campaign, we’re challenging anti-rights movements that weaponize “family values” to undermine gender equality and human rights. Families should be places of belonging, dignity, and rights for all. ?? Spotted near the #UN—because the world needs to hear this loud and clear. #CSW69 #ReclaimFamily #FamilyDiversity #GenderEquality #HumanRights #ForAllFamilies

International Alliance for Sexual and Reproductive Health, Rights and Justice.
关于我们
Fòs Feminista is as an intersectional feminist organization centered around the sexual and reproductive rights and needs of women, girls, and gender-diverse people. Led and governed by the South, Fòs Feminista works with a growing ecosystem of organizations in 35+ countries to provide access to sexual and reproductive health care and to advocate for the sexual and reproductive justice of women, girls, and gender-diverse people to be protected and respected in every dimension of their lives. We recognize that the ability to make free and informed choices about sexual and reproductive health, including to access to safe and legal abortion, is central to their life plans and to achieving sexual and reproductive justice. In 2020, Fòs Feminista undertook a bold process to redefine itself as an anti-racist, anti-ableist, decolonial, and intersectional feminist organization. This transformation laid the foundations for the formation in June 2021 of a new feminist alliance that brings together the work of the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC) and the Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE) under the leadership of Fòs Feminista. Fòs Feminista is integrating the expertise of each organization, bringing together sexual and reproductive health care and education, advocacy for gender and reproductive justice, and trust-based grantmaking to grassroots activists and organizations. The launch of this exciting new feminist alliance will maximize the collective impact of these organizations at a time when the world needs diversity in leadership and an unapologetically feminist voice for sexual and reproductive health and rights in global spaces.

At #CSW69, it’s time to hold governments accountable for universal health coverage. Health is a fundamental #HumanRight, yet many still lack access to basic services, especially in sexual and reproductive health: ?? 4.3 billion people will lack access to essential sexual and reproductive health services in their lifetime. ?? 500 million menstruators don’t have menstrual products or facilities. ?? 218 million women in the Global South lack access to modern contraception. It’s time for policy change that ensures everyone has the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health. Let’s take action now ????

???? We need gender equality #ForAllFamilies ???? Families come in all shapes and sizes. From single-parent homes to extended families, from childless families to chosen families, the world’s family structures are as diverse as the people who make them up. Yet, anti-rights movements still push for a narrow, outdated vision of the family based on patriarchal, heteronormative norms. It's time to reclaim the meaning of "family" and challenge these regressive views! ?? This campaign is about advancing narratives that support families in all their forms, ensuring gender equality, human rights, and the freedom to love and live without restriction. ?? Let’s build a world where every family, no matter how it looks, has the respect, dignity, and rights they deserve. ???????

Education isn't just about reading and writing; it's about empowering women and girls to make informed decisions about their lives. Strengthening universal access to education, including comprehensive sexuality education, is crucial for achieving true gender equality. The right to inclusive, equitable, and quality education for women and girls in ALL their diversity is fundamental. Let's break down barriers and create a world where every girl can reach her full potential. #CSW69 #ProtectProgress

At #CSW69, we call on Member States to take urgent action to close the economic gender gap and ensure equal pay for equal work. Globally, women earn 20% less than men for the same work, and at the current rate, it will take over 250 years to achieve pay equity (WEF Global Gender Gap Report, 2023). This injustice deepens poverty, limits economic growth, and violates fundamental human rights. We urge governments to adopt and enforce equal pay legislation, mandate pay transparency, and hold employers accountable for wage discrimination. Equal pay is not just a policy goal—it is a human right that cannot wait. #EqualPay #GenderEquality #ProtectProgress

?? Breaking the Silos: SRHR in the ICPD+30 and the Beijing+30 Agenda Gender equality cannot be achieved without realizing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). March 14, 2025 ? 1:00 – 2:30 PM ET ?? This #CSW69 reviews the Beijing Platform for Action, a blueprint for human rights that reaffirmed that gender equality, bodily autonomy, and freedom from violence are fundamental human rights. It called for universal access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities—because human rights mean having the power for everyone to make choices about their bodies, their future and their lives. The Beijing Platform for Action set the agenda for gender equality, calling for an end to gender-based violence, child marriage and discrimination. Protecting these rights is not just a commitment—it’s a human rights obligation that all states should uphold. Women’s rights are human rights—this was the core message of the Beijing Platform for Action. However, nearly 30 years later, the fight continues to ensure that every girl and woman can live free from discrimination, violence and inequality. CSW69 is an opportunity for states to uphold their obligations to achieving gender equality. They must call for an end to gender-based violence, child marriage, and discrimination. Protecting these fundamental rights is not just a commitment, it’s a human rights obligation. Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) are human rights, as outlined in the Beijing Platform for Action. When people can access safe contraception, maternal healthcare, and protection from harmful practices, they can fully realize their rights and potential. Every person deserves the freedom to make informed choices about their body, health, and future—without fear, discrimination, or violence. #ProtectProgress

EN/ES A feminist historian leaves her mark??? ? Fòs Feminista is mourning the loss of Marysa Navarro-Aranguren, a longtime ally and friend who passed away last week. Marysa had a decades-long history of close collaboration with feminist organizations and movements across Latin America and the Caribbean, and she was an important voice in Fòs Feminista’s strategy and decision-making. She served as an Advisory member to Fòs Feminista’s (then IPPFWHR) Board of Directors from 1999-2014 and as a member of the Sexual and Reproductive Rights Committee from 2011-2014.?? ? A prolific writer, researcher, and historian over the course of a 60-year professional life, Marysa applied a feminist lens to understanding and highlighting women’s role, participation, and power in development and the social-political landscape of Latin America. Her passion for elevating the voices that have been silenced by mainstream history – the voices of women and other marginalized groups – has influenced successive generations of students, leaving a mark on the way history is told and retold into the future.
