Recently, Forward Careers hosted a brat fry as part of their internal United Way campaign. They received in-kind donations for their supplies from Piggly Wiggly, Kwik Trip, Pick N Save and Ludo Realty, which made it possible for them to provide an even bigger donation to United Way of Washington County. Rob Johnson, CEO of the Kettle Moraine YMCA, MATCHED the Forward Careers' donation as part of the Y's annual campaign contribution. The KMYMCA and Forward Careers have enjoyed a flourishing partnership since working together as partner agencies of the United Way. Our Reducing Barriers to Employment & Advancement initiative is anchored in the belief that all adults of working age should have the opportunity to start stable careers, at workplaces where they are treated with dignity and have opportunities to support and provide for their families. When everyone has access to family supporting income from work that affirms their dignity, our whole community is stronger on every level.
