?? FORVIA HELLA’s new rear lamp, a first of its kind in China, is featured in the all-electric luxury C-class sedan Z10 by LYNK & CO, from Geely Auto Group! What makes it unique? This RGB LED rear combination lamp, with full-color light animations ??, is the first to go into series production in China. As you may know, individualization and brand differentiation are becoming increasingly important in the Asian market. That’s why the teams have created a rear lamp that particularly aligns with this demand. ?????? It offers a total of 256 different color variants, creating multi-colored lighting animations. For welcome/goodbye sequences, vehicle locking, or even vehicle charging. While RGB LED technology is already well-known for interiors, applying it to exterior lighting opens up a whole new level of customer experience!

Among the many technologies showcased on our booth at IAA Transportation this week, here are 3 key innovations that visitors have surely noticed. And one of them is even brand new. ?? We’re talking of our new range of seats for trucks, focusing on safety and comfort! It’s based on a unique, light seat structure platform integrating: ? Suspension systems to reduce drivers’ exposure to vibrations ? Motorized and pneumatic adjustments for a wide range of body shapes ? Wellness features such as massage, heating, or lumbar support Safety and comfort were not our only concern. We also designed this range with sustainability in mind. First, it integrates sustainable materials like Auraloop?, a cushioning solution made from 100% recyclable polyester-based fibers. Second, it features a modular design to extend the seats’ lifespan. ?? FORVIA HELLA’s Truck Rear Combination Lamp Concept enhances road safety by displaying light-functions across a large area. More precisely, innovative LED technologies ensure high visibility while reducing weight and energy consumption. EdgeLight and LED light curtain technology offer customizable appearance. This technology achieves up to 30% of CO2 savings if sustainable materials are used. ?? Finally, our XL Gaseous Type IV tank is a very large 70MPa high-pressure tank extending truck autonomy range. Besides this, it offers: ? New vehicle integration options - wheelbase or cabin module - allowing many design possibilities. ? Maximized storage capacity, refueling time under 15 minutes, optimal safety.

How do Gen Z’s car preferences vary across the globe? ?? Sara, a 25-year-old marketer at FORVIA, has spent 3 years exploring these trends. Her article breaks down the automotive trends shaping Europe, China, and the USA. It also reveals how FORVIA is tailoring its strategy to create interiors that resonate with each market's distinct demands. Because “to succeed in the competitive vehicle market, a “single global strategy” is no longer effective.” That’s where our Cabin of the Future design team comes in. They turn consumer insight and user experience into sustainable, digital, and affordable car interiors for automakers. Full story here ?? https://lnkd.in/exqKPaJC #MobilityWeek

IAA TRANSPORTATION: Day 1! Today, Christian Meyer, Minister for the Environment, Energy, and Climate Protection of Lower Saxony, and Belit Onay, Mayor of Hanover, visited our booth. Here are 3 technologies developed for trucks that may have caught their attention ?? ? ?? The first has already been selected to equip tens of thousands heavy-duty trucks from 2027 onwards. ? Meet our seat for heavy-duty vehicles ??, designed to answer the needs of truck drivers looking for greater comfort to carry out long journeys! ? It offers pneumatic suspension and a magnetic ride suspension system that greatly reduces vibrations for the driver, plus options like adjustable seatbelts and premium wellness features. ? The cushion and backrest can be replaced, extending the seat’s lifecycle. ? ?? Another key innovation is FORVIA HELLA’s Future Trailer Lighting System. It transmits digital signals through the electronic control unit (CAN communication interface). Which reduces cable needs and therefore weight and CO2 emissions. And it enables new functionalities like status monitoring of lighting modules. ? ?? And finally, our next generation high-capacity storage system for trucks. With its plug and play technology, it allows to onboard 80kg of hydrogen at 70 MPa. #IAATransportation

Unveiled this week at IAA Transportation: HYVIA’s new Renault Master H2-Tech, equipped by us ?? And there’s something unique about it. ? 9 kg of hydrogen. That’s how much these storage systems can onboard. And we’re talking of light commercial vehicles here! ? The system includes up to five second-generation composite carbon fiber storage tanks. Thanks to enhanced manufacturing process and reduced material use, they offer a more affordable solution. They're also more sustainable, with a 10% reduced CO2 footprint per kilogram of hydrogen. ? We’re proud to help HYVIA, Renault Group and Plug Power’s joint venture, expand zero emission mobility to more users. And to be the only player currently in production worldwide for mobility applications!

Just a casual reminder that this lighting technology here is a CES 2024 Award-winner ?? FORVIA HELLA’s Flatlight μMX is slim, efficient, scalable. And smart. While traditional vehicle lighting demands a lot of space, this tech uses tiny micro-optical lenses. Tinier than a grain of salt. But it’s also about energy efficiency. It has up to 80% lower energy consumption ?? compared to conventional LED taillights. One more thing: it brings multi-color functionality whereas OLEDS are usually limited to red ?? And it’s already available!
