Another Leadership Hour with Forum 225 is officially in the books! ?? For the August event, we had my friend Meagan West, SHRM-CP, PHR discuss with our young professionals all about owning their future and the tools needed to build your career and develop skills for the future. I appreciated her candor throughout the workshop! Three key takeaways for me were: 1?? Evaluate who is at your table. You allow what you permit. Remember that anything can change - every year you go through a different season. 2?? Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Change is hard but necessary for growth. Don't be afraid to take a leap or take another route if you are not growing. 3?? Put your best foot forward through every commitment. You don't know who else in the room could be your next boss, colleague or someone that can help you in your next dream. A special shoutout to Christopher Simoneaux and Assurance Financial for hosting us, and to the Baton Rouge Alliance for Students for powering our Leadership Hour series.
