  • #HurricaneMilton has caused widespread power outages, leading to many traffic lights being out or flashing. Treat all intersections as four-way stops. This means you should come to a complete stop, yield to traffic from your right, and proceed with caution. Remember: Be patient. Traffic may be slower than usual. Be aware of your surroundings. Watch out for pedestrians and other drivers. Be courteous. Yield to others, especially emergency vehicles. Let's work together to ensure a safe and orderly flow of traffic during this challenging time. #StaySafe #FortMyersStrong

  • Affected Customers: Residents, visitors, and businesses in the vicinity of: 2705 - 2790 Michigan Ave. 1610 - 1612 Cranford Ave. What Happened: Due to a water main break, the City of Fort Myers is facilitating repairs along 2732 Michigan Ave. To ensure the quality of water provided to our citizens, the City is issuing this boil water notice as a precaution to all affected persons. What This Means: As a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, boiled water can be used. For updates, call at 239-533-8575. Press 1 for English or Press 2 for Spanish. Press 1 for current Boil Water Notices. Press 2 to check if a notice has been rescinded What Happens Next: The City of Fort Myers will issue a boil water recission notice once a bacteriological survey confirms the water is safe to drink. Two consecutive days of good bacteriological survey results are required, which are verified by the Department of Environmental Protection.
