Fort Gregg-Adams is the Army’s Home of Sustainment and supports the training, education and development of adaptive Army logistics professionals. The installation supports more than 90,000 Soldiers, retirees, veterans, family members and civilian employees in the local area. Fort Gregg-Adams has a regional economic impact of about $2.25 billion per year. Major organizations on the installation include the Combined Arms Support Command, Army Sustainment University, U.S. Army Ordnance School, U.S. Army Quartermaster School, U.S. Army Transportation School, Defense Commissary Agency and Defense Contract Management Agency.

    The Joint Culinary Training Exercise is the largest American Culinary Federation sanctioned exercise in North America, and we host it annually. It's about improving #readiness of our armed forces. The competing military members hone their skills as culinary arts specialists and improve the quality of food services to their units, enabling them to better perform their duties at home and in a deployed environment.   • The 2025 Department of Defense ??Tenant Satisfaction Housing Survey?? will launch and be available to Fort Gregg-Adams residents from March 3 – May 1. All on-post residents permanently assigned to Fort Gregg-Adams, living in family housing or in the barracks, are encouraged to submit a survey, which will provide feedback to help improve the quality of housing, customer service and overall resident satisfaction.   • In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, Fort Gregg-Adams is reviewing and adjusting its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities.   • Fort Gregg-Adams leadership met with Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS) Superintendent Dr. John T. Murray Wednesday afternoon to strengthen our partnership and enhance support for military-connected students. With over 1,500 military-connected students across 62 schools, CCPS is an integral part of our Defense Community. Many of the schools are paired with military units on the installation, where service members actively engage in volunteering through the Adopt-a-School Program. Fort Gregg-Adams and its leaders are committed to working hand-in-hand with local schools and military families to build a resilient, thriving future. Together, we are laying the foundation for success and fostering a spirit of partnership that will endure for years to come!

    Fort Gregg-Adams leaders?met with the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC) and community partners?Friday to align efforts for a Military Installation Readiness Review (MIRR) grant. This collaboration helps to ensure our infrastructure, energy and water?plans support both the installation and surrounding communities. Community readiness is military readiness—and readiness drives lethality.
