For the 9th time since 1987, FOCO voters are being asked to vote to renew the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) that is our primary source of revenue to pay for reducing traffic congestion, the equipment and building that support our public safety officers, building new parks, and the infrastructure that makes living and doing business in FOCO the best in the region Quick Facts: - SPLOST is NOT a new tax. Forsyth County has had a SPLOST in place since 1987. - Forsyth County has a LONG history of building SPLOST projects as promised and responsibly. - 34% of SPLOST is paid for by visitors / non-residents - SPLOST IX will pay for roads, public safety, parks, and key infrastructure projects.
