关于我们

The Coalition is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt association of some 50 healthcare systems, hospitals, and professional organizations, represented by nearly 400 individual members, which is organized for the purpose of learning together how to build robust, sustainable programs in support of physician and APP well-being. We promote personal and professional fulfillment for physicians and APPs by building healthy families and productive collegial relationships, encouraging teamwork and collaboration in the clinical and administrative setting, thereby enhancing hospital culture and improving the safety, quality, and humanity of patient care. We also embrace clinician wholeness, which we understand to encompass physical, mental, social, and spiritual health, which supports the embodiment of our work as a ministry of healing.

  • A name alone doesn’t change things. Real change happens when we take action—together. ? For years, we have worked to create a future where wholeness, community, and fulfillment in medicine are not just ideas, but realities. Today, we are taking another step forward. The Coalition for Physician Well-Being is now The Coalition for Physician & APP Well-Being. ? This change is a reflection of the work still ahead of us—work to ensure that all who dedicate their lives to healing have the support, resources, and community they need to thrive. Physicians and advanced practice providers serve together, lead together, and face so many of the same challenges. Their well-being is deeply connected, and our focus must reflect that truth. • Saturday, March 8 marks #InternationalWomensDay. At The Coalition for Physician & APP Well-Being, we are committed to supporting women in healthcare in every stage of their careers. We celebrate the legacies of countless women who have changed lives, pushed boundaries, and lifted entire communities through their commitment to healing. We celebrate the firsts—Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to receive a medical degree in the U.S. in 1849. Rebecca Lee Crumpler, the first Black woman physician in America. Virginia Apgar, who developed the Apgar Score, revolutionizing neonatal care. We celebrate the unsung heroes—the nurses and APPs who work long hours to ensure patients are cared for, the women physicians who break barriers in leadership, and the mentors who uplift the next generation of healthcare professionals. We celebrate you—the women who step into hospitals, clinics, and operating rooms every day, balancing the demands of medicine with the complexities of life outside of it. The women who advocate for their patients and for themselves, who challenge systems that need change, who lead with both strength and compassion. Join us in celebrating all the incredible women in our lives today and every day. Want to take your advocacy a step further? Learn how you can #AccelerateAction here: https://lnkd.in/d4Z-4u9m

  • Spotlight on Joy: A Conversation with Reagan Taylor, PA-C, on Mentorship and Well-Being "Mentorship in healthcare goes beyond providing guidance; it fosters meaningful connections, strengthens resilience, and ensures that every provider has a support system to rely on throughout their journey. Reagan Taylor, PA-C, values mentorship and the impact it has on healthcare professionals. When we connected over Microsoft Teams, she was still in her white coat, sitting in her office after what had been a busy day. Yet despite the demands of her schedule, she was warm, engaged, and passionate—eager to share how mentorship has shaped her journey and the journeys of so many others." https://lnkd.in/eNzd6Z4z
