Common mistakes in form building can lead to user frustration and low completion rates. Here are 10 mistakes to avoid and how to fix them: Mistake 1: Asking for too much info. Only ask for essentials to avoid overwhelming users. Mistake 2: Providing too little info. Clearly describe your offerings to build trust and clarity. Mistake 3: Poor mobile optimization. Ensure forms are mobile-friendly. Mistake 4: Lack of clear instructions. Use straightforward language and visual cues to guide users. Mistake 5: Ignoring accessibility. Make forms accessible with legible fonts, color contrast, and proper navigation. Mistake 6: Unintuitive layouts. Stick to familiar designs for ease of use. Mistake 7: No field validation. Implement real-time validation to catch errors instantly. Mistake 8: No feedback after submission. Provide a confirmation message to reassure users. Mistake 9: Not testing forms. Test on multiple devices to ensure functionality. Mistake 10: Not saving partial data. Auto-save progress to reduce abandonment. Avoid these pitfalls with Formsort’s low-code form builder. Congratulations to the RTHM team!
WE LAUNCHED!!! I deeply hate self promotion, but I want to congratulate the RTHM Team on a big success. (in alpha) Deborah Lundin - You are the wind beneath our wings Eduardo Bohrer - You are a phenomenal partner in crime? Jennifer Curtin, MD - Your genius and ideas are the engine of this rocketship Kelly Koleos - Nothing can happen without your amazing work Ryan K. - Your vision is what made this possible? Zuzanna Michalewicz - You keep everyone on the right course Also a special shout out to Andrew Sauer - you make everything better - you are the human version of BASF.??? Over the course of 1.5 weeks we built, tested, learned, rebuilt, and launched a new product to help Long COVID patients find customized research to inform their journey to better health. This launch was an outgrowth of our ongoing, deep customer discovery interviews, not possible without a really supportive community of patients.? We continually heard about the struggles to find really good, individualized information about treatments.? As part of this research, we were demoing some early (and fugly) product concepts we had.? What made this possible was a meta-pattern called build, test, learn (or BTL) that biases teams to action. Of the many threads we uncovered, we leveraged Eduardo’s powerful instincts and started flushing out an individualized content recommendation engine.? In less than 4 days, we built two redundant, functioning recommendation applications (and we didn’t have to derail our product team which is building a different, more involved product called Direct.RTHM.com) ? Why two?? It was a strategic decision.? With both of these apps, we now have the ability to both extend the functionality of the product in any direction we choose (including integrating AI).? For example, we have the ability to leverage the code-based solution to improve the feature set and/or implement the backlog of other product ideas that have been generated as a result of our customer discovery work. What made this approach possible was the dev approach we took: one app was low-code, the other code-based (HTML, CSS, javascript, and python).? We developed our low-code solution in Formsort.? Thank you to Benjamin Fine and your team for your support. Our code-based solution, I developed with Andrew Sauer.? Thank you again Andrew, you are an incredible talent.?? What makes these apps particularly powerful is that they are tests. If they fail, no big deal.? We will integrate what we learn from the app usage into what we learn from our continuous customer discovery, then launch our next, improved test-build.?? However…if they work, we have the opportunity to move in a number of directions, including category design, where we attack a cluster of problems for our community with a new category defining solution-set.??? So again - Congrats Team

For Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re revisiting the insightful articles we’ve published this year on mental health. Join us as we explore key insights and practical strategies to support mental well-being. We’ve shared resources on creating mental health intake forms (https://lnkd.in/dmieNk3R) and therapy intake forms (https://lnkd.in/d8hChNjx), along with form templates like GAD-7 (https://lnkd.in/dhZ7MYEj) and PHQ-9 (https://lnkd.in/df7ec4rw) to help mental health professionals quickly establish effective intake processes. Efficient patient onboarding does more than just gather information; it enhances engagement and accelerates the path to treatment. We’ve emphasized the critical role of design: accessible and thoughtfully designed forms can significantly reduce anxiety and enhance communication. In a landscape where mental health stigma remains a significant barrier, crafting nuanced, patient-centered forms is crucial. These forms not only collect essential details for personalized care but also build trust by reassuring patients that their sensitive information is handled with utmost care.
