Thank you Kristin Guy and Sunset Magazine for illustrating how we can save lives, homes, and habitats with our landscaping choices! We're grateful for the perspective brought by Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCDSMM)'s Clark Stevens and Pauline Allen, as well as our own Cassy Aoyagi and Patrick Barrett. #wildfire #riskmitigation #landscape #homeandgarden #firesafetytips

FormLA Landscaping believes authentic beauty can save LA... So we are bringing it!
关于我们
FormLA Landscaping believes authentic beauty can save LA. So we are bringing it – one lush, lovely, optimally sustainable landscape at a time. During our more than 20 years in business, we have added nearly 1.5 million square feet of authentic, native habitat to Los Angeles, ranging from Tujunga to Playa Del Rey, western Malibu to the San Marina foothills. That involved removing about 200,000 square feet of thirsty lawn – the rough equivalent of 40 football fields or 750 tennis courts! As a result, each year, we now: Save LA well over 10 million gallons of water Reduce air pollution by an amount equivalent to that produced by the annual commutes of 59 Angelenos Save our clients’ approximately $700,000 a year in lawn care expenses Keep 2400 lbs of toxic chemical fertilizers out of our watershed Nearly 50 clients have opened their gardens to tours including Garden Conservancy Open Days, House Beautiful, the International Greenbuild Tour, Theodore Payne Foundation’s Native Plant Garden Tour, Pacific Palisades Garden Tour, and Santa Monica Conservancy Tours. We take pride in creating beauty reflective of LA’s creativity, authenticity and diversity, and in the knowledge this beauty supports LA’s long term resilience.

We're tickled to share the latest in the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers & Native Plants series of videos covering wildfire defensive landscaping strategies, featuring our own Cassy Aoyagi. We hope this is a useful resource as you prepare your home and garden! We have so many thank yous associated with bringing this to fruition... To our generous clients for opening their space to support this endeavor, to Matt Ritter who filmed much of the b-roll seen here, to Hannah Perez for her beautiful edits and camaraderie in both filming and reviews, to TPF for their ongoing team work, and to all those who have contributed to our knowledge along the way. Thank you! #landscaping #landscapemaintenance #landscapedesign #riskmitigation #RiskManagement #firesafety #FireSafetyTips #wildfire #wildfireseason

"Once upon a time, under Universal Studios’ watchful Minion eye, there was a Storybook house in Studio City with a steep, sagging roof, a towering, tottering chimney and a yard so boring and prone to flooding that its charm was pretty much negated." - Jeanette Marantos, LA Times Plants We can't imagine a better start to the tale of a Storybook Garden imagined by Khoi Pham and Michael Solberg with Isara Ongwiseth.
