We recently met with our partners, Tier One Solutions, in NYC for a Team Accelerator weekend. We were able to gather in person for a series of workshops and share with them samples and stories from some of the brands we’ve worked with over the years like Red Boat Fish Sauce, La Tourangelle, Marché Berber, De Angelis USA Corp (Sfoglini Pasta), Gatorade, and Danone. It was great getting to know the whole team better and kicking off our plans for the coming year. After the educational sessions, we volunteered with an essential organization from the Bronx, Friendly Fridge BX, where we assembled food for the community. Friendly Fridge BX operates from the belief that “No one should go hungry”, redirecting over 65,000 lbs. of food monthly away from the landfills into the local Bronx community.? In a world where everyone is trying to do everything, it’s nice to come across a business with a singular, high-quality focus. That’s exactly what Chef Steve Gonzalez, the former pasta maker-in-chief for Sfoglini, and his wife Kate Glassi, did when they opened the doors to their outstanding, new “pasta shop” called Via Ravioli in Coxsackie, New York.? They are turning out an excellent product, all made with seasonal produce.
