We are wrapping up work for the season at the Lower Elkhorn Levee Setback site in California. Here, we are constructing setback levees and reworking over seven miles of existing levees to reduce flood risk to the greater Sacramento area. We’re excited to share major project highlights so far. ?? As part of the setback levee construction, we have placed approximately 5.7 million cubic yards total. ?? At peak production, we have fifteen 657 scrapers working simultaneously. ?? As part of the existing levee excavation, we have excavated a total of approximately 4 million cubic yards. We recently completed a site preparation and deep foundations project in Houston, Texas where we installed Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piles to pave the way for our client to expand their cement mill operations. The completion of the CFA piles foundation greatly enhanced the stability and safety of the previously disturbed soil, rendering the site much more suitable for construction purposes.
