Once a tree tribute has been made, the recipients or their families will receive a customized announcement card. ????? A temporary tag is placed on every tribute tree to help locate it and then it is removed after six months so tree grows without restrictions. ???? It is exciting to see SO many visitors in Forest Park! Below are some things to keep in mind when visiting so the Park remains a safe, beautiful place for all: ?? Curfew: The grounds are closed between 10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. ?? Both Park Rangers and the St. Louis Police Department patrol routinely; call 911 if you have an emergency. Share the path ????? allow room for others to safely pass on your left. ?? While millions of people visit, many urban and migratory wildlife call the park home. For your safety and theirs, all pets are required to be on a leash. ??? Dispose of waste in bins that are provided around the Park, or take it with you when you leave. SAVE THE DATE ?? Next Tuesday (December 3) millions of people will give to nonprofits doing work they support. Giving Tuesday is a global movement of generosity. Forest Park Forever is a nonprofit conservancy that takes care of Forest Park. On December 3, our teams will continue our daily work to sustain this beautiful green space for future generations. [Video - An aerial perspective living through Forest Park shows a paved pathway winding through mature trees and colorful autumn foliage. Two young people are rolling along the human-made trail with the Worlds Fair Pavilion behind them to the west. Successional Forest blankets the landscape, completely obscuring the Jewel Box that is east of the Nature Playscape. ]

It is prescribed burning season in Forest Park, now through April 2025. If you see smoke there is probably fire ?? which when properly managed by our experts can be a healthy thing for native Missouri habitats. Our conservancy has worked with City of St. Louis Government to execute successful burns in Forest Park Nature Reserve for over a decade. ??
