One of the recent significant challenges has been determining whether or not your imported goods are subject to the aluminum extrusion antidumping case. The origin countries were China, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. Given the biases in the regulations in favor of domestic industry, imagine everyone's surprise when the International Trade Commission found there was no injury to U.S. domestic industry! Talk about a lot of effort and time being spent by American importers to figure out their exposure, only to have the case end with a very big thud !!!!
