Haggerty and Jeffrey S. Behar founded our firm in 1991. Prior to founding Ford, Walker, Haggerty & Behar, they were senior partners at Shield & Smith, a large Los Angeles insurance defense law firm. The founding partners selected a group of talented attorneys with experience in defending general casualty litigation claims to form the basis of Ford, Walker, Haggerty & Behar. From the original nucleus of eight partners and sixteen associates, we have steadily grown to more than one hundred attorneys to service our expanding client base in the entire state of California and Nevada.

?? Congratulations to ASCDC members Emily Zinn-McBride, Esq., and John Paulson, Esq., of Ford Walker Haggerty & Behar, on their remarkable defense verdict in Santo v. Bello, et al.! After a 3-week jury trial, the Van Nuys Superior Court jury sided with the defense in a strict liability dog bite case. Despite the plaintiff's claims and a $5 million life care plan presented at trial, the jury found no evidence of a dog bite. Congratulations to FWHB Partner Juan C. Delgado, the newly installed 2025 President of OC ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates). A member since 1998, Mr. Delgado has been previously recognized by OC ABOTA as a Diplomate, OC Trial Lawyer of the Year, and has served on the Executive Committee since 2022.
