    Soup, Stew & Brew is back on March 5, and I'm so excited for this year! ???? ? This event is so special to me—not just because it supports Milwaukee Public Schools’ School-to-Work Transition program, which I have been able to mentor multiple students, see them blossom and bloom. But also, now I get to bring this event to life and plan this fundraiser. I’m incredibly proud to say we have nearly 100% participation from Milwaukee Public Market vendors! ? It sells out every year (seriously, don’t wait!). You get to support an amazing cause while tasting a ton of quality soups, stews, and local brews and vote for your favorite. It's so much fun! ? Forage Kitchen, founded by Wisconsinite Henry Aschauer, embodies a farm-to-fork philosophy, supporting local farmers like Carr Valley Cheese, Flynn Creek Farm Produce, and Rocket Baby Bakery.   • Since this was filmed in 2023, our partners at Flynn Creek Farm have expanded their operations to grow, harvest, and deliver produce directly to six Forage Kitchen restaurants, where about 20% of our produce is now sourced from Flynn Creek Farm. The quality of the organic food and the health of their soil is so important, directly impacting the nutritional value of what is grown on their farm and eventually is enjoyed in your bowl or wrap! Together, we aim to rethink the food system and show others that they can do the same. By minimizing the number of hands that food passes through from farm to table, the supply chain is streamlined and fresher produce is delivered. A shorter supply chain not only reduces the need for excessive packaging and transportation but also leads to significantly lower carbon emissions and a smaller environmental footprint. This successful collaboration with Flynn Creek Farm continues to grow and our partnership brings a shared mission to life: rethink our food systems and make organic, healthy food accessible to everyone.
