Every map tells a story. Our project in Bhutan used ethnographic spatial mapping to share the lives and experiences of persons with disabilities. The Bhuantese fieldwork team braved the Himalayan monsoon (and then a pandemic) to gather interviews, videos, and audio testimonials. Fora Education is proud to partner with MCII: Malaysian Collective Impact Initiative and Hong Leong Foundation to improve the lives of persons with disabilities in Malaysia.
This morning, we had the privilege of meeting with Special Education Needs teachers at SMK Bukit Tinggi, Klang alongside Dr. Matthew Schuelka from Fora Education and Wahidah from Hong Leong Foundation (HLF). Together, we discussed the Transition Toolkit data collection initiative, generously funded by the Hong Leong Foundation. The HLF team is committed to involving various stakeholders, such as schools, corporations hiring individuals with disabilities, and ministries, to collaboratively develop an Inclusive Community Engagement Toolkit. A heartfelt thank you to SMK Bukit Tinggi for your invaluable support in MCII and to HLF for approaching us to connect the schools.
